English: Arms of Bond of Erth Barton, 3.5 miles south-west of Saltash Harbour, Saltash, Cornwall: Argent, on a chevron sable three bezants (Burke's General Armory, 1884, p.98 "Bond of Earth and Saltash, Cornwall"). Motto: Orbis Non Sufficit ("The world is not enough"), given by Burke more elegantly as Non Sufficit Orbis, for arms of Rev. Nathaniel Bond, of Creech Grange, representative of the Bond family of Purbeck, Dorset, same arms as Bond "of Earth and Saltash, Cornwall" (Erth Barton near Saltash). The arms are pious, in the sense of "heavenly matters are superior to terrestrial possessions". Adopted by film-makers as motto & coat of arms of fictional character James Bond, 007.

Motto: Orbis Non Sufficit ("The world is not enough", the name of a 1999 Bond film, not represented by an Ian Fleming novel). The coat of arms shown in the 1969 movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service had an artistic depiction of helm, mantling, and crest (omitted in this image), as well as the red hand of a baronet (appropriate to the particular 18th-century person named, but not to James bond himself, since he is not a baronet).
