However they do not have the copyright to the underlying image. Just because someone creates an SVG does not invalidate the copyright of the original holder. Nunabas (talk) 19:37, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's right, but the copyright of the original image only matters if this is a copy. If the uploader drew this themselves, it is a new copyright and they have the right to release it. Please read Commons:Coats of arms. Fry1989 eh? 19:56, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
