A brief return to Cardiff

I’d regularly visited Cardiff for a few months in 1996, and intended to live there. That was 26 years ago. This week, we were in town to catch another show from The Cure, and made a little time for a wander around.

I took Geri to Spillers, the oldest record shop in the world (1894, believe it or not) and picked up the ace new Orielles album, Tableau. The following day, we headed to the outskirts to find Brød, an excellent Danish-owned bakery that Robb Owen had recommended. We then made for Lufkin, a cosy coffee hut in the park and enjoyed a cold and frosty wander around the park before the long drive home.
