Morning all. I done a rambling 2am post of syndicating notes/images/bookmarks to Bluesky (vanilla API stuff, not the client library). Not my most coherent work, but I think it was worth getting my thoughts down. https://qubyte.codes/blog/how-i-syndicate-links-and-notes-to-bluesky-with-github-actions

It was actually a test of my new post announcer, which I’ve added Bluesky support to as well. The treatment of embeds by Bluesky is interesting, so that was fun.

So I want to do it on my own droplet server, static site generator most likely with just a little bit of (offline) dynamic things, like push to Mastodon, or to a book review fediverse page. Probably write just as markdown or similar text format and push to Github to trigger rebuild. However, what would do concessional refreshes on the server, say to do the pushe

it sounds like you're comfortable with going under the hood a bit with your personal site setup, with managing a server, and setting up systems to trigger rebuilds. you may find more discussions on those topics in the #indieweb-dev channel too!
#
[tantek]
also that sounds like more than one question 😄

[tantek]
big sympathy with wanting to be able to do offline things. that motivates my setup and a bunch of others setups too here. curious how offline you would like to be, as in, briefly minutes like underground in transit etc., or longer like camping for a weekend

or offline for hours like on an airplane!

[tantek]
what is offline
#
Loqi
offline is anytime you're not online and connected to the internet; on the IndieWeb, a personal site can have offline support by implementing an offline first approach https://indieweb.org/offline

^ bunch more ideas, thoughts, examples, brainstorms there you might find helpful for considering what you want to do offline and when joerg__
