Hi Anshul, a warning that plucky is actually already on 2.0rc3 even when it was pretending to be 1.7.19 - long complex story.
As of today it is:
 containerd | 2.0.0-0ubuntu1 | plucky | amd64, arm64, armhf, ppc64el, riscv64, s390x

If you need to do anything here the chance is high that you'd conflict.
Please coordinate with Athos Ribeiro who is untangling all of this at the moment.

This is containerd binary package, which is produced by src:containerd-app

This src:containerd should be synced with debian, so the reverse-deps (like podman) can be built without issues.

seems that @costamagnagianfranco merged in 1.7.23~ds1-2ubuntu1 on 2024/11/03, but that version doesn't build because of a mistake I made in debian in the 1.7.23~ds1-2 upload. The dependency mistake was corrected in the next upload.

Because of this issue, the package was never built.

Please merge with 1.7.23~ds2-1 to unblock a number of depending packages to build

containerd (1.7.23~ds2-1ubuntu1) plucky; urgency=medium

  * Merged from Debian unstable (LP: #2089893). Remaining changes:
    - d/golang-github-containerd-containerd-dev.docs: install NOTICE file to
      be compliant with the Apache 2 license.
    - d/tests/control: remove integration and cri-integration autopkgtest
      Since they depend on the containerd binary package which is not provided by
      this source package by default.
    - d/control: add non default pkg.containerd.with-bin Build-Profiles
      to disable building containerd binary package by default.
      And change Architecture to amd64 to avoid Launchpad reporting build
      failures on other architecture.

  * Vendor in containerd/imgcrypt to avoid circular dependency
