Funkcija
[uredi | uredi izvor]NUDT3 pripada porodici proteina MutT, ili Nudix. Proteini Nudix djeluju kao homeostatske kontrolne tsčke u važnim fazama metaboličkih puteva nukleozid fosfata, štiteći od povišenih razina potencijalno opasnih međuprodukata, poput 8-okso-dGTP, koji podstiče transverzije AT-u-CG (Safrany et al., 1998, prema OMIMu)[6]
