Notes[]

  • Contrary to its name, the color of the umbrella changes to match the blood set in the Options menu. It can be done by accessing Options > Other > Blood.

Bloodless[]

Bloodless carries a similar umbrella of her own, which she appears to create entirely out of blood. She can use the umbrella for more purposes than Miriam, but the basic attack –simply named Red Umbrella in her pause menu– is similar: Bloodless swings the folded umbrella in front of her, leaving a small amount of blood in its wake. The range for this attack is shorter than Miriam's Red Umbrella, but she can swing it at a slightly faster pace.

Holding down the attack button will make Bloodless stand in place and unfold the umbrella behind her. Releasing the button unleashes a wider and stronger version of the basic swing which knocks back smaller enemies and stuns larger ones. A charged swing leaves behind more blood and can also deflect enemy attacks if timed correctly. Bloodless can charge an umbrella swing by default as a boss and in Boss Revenge Mode, but to do so in Bloodless Mode, she must first acquire the Charged Umbrella upgrade found in the corridor leading to Craftwork in the Dian Cécht Cathedral.

Aside from using it as a melee weapon, Bloodless also uses her umbrella to perform the Umbrella Float technique and to fire the Scarlet Cyclone. She can create independently floating umbrellas, either as weapons for the Umbrella Toss attack or as platforms for her battle in Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.

In Boss Revenge Mode, the Charged Umbrella is unable to block attacks, Bloodless cannot perform a Guillotine Umbrella, and her Umbrella Float lasts much less.
