Yoylese alphabet

The full Yoylese alphabet decoded

Yoylese (Endonym: ᖙʏᖙ–]⨝]) is a Yoylean language and the official language of Yoyleland. It is a dialect of spoken English and has only appeared canonically in the Science Museum, on Tennis Ball's Obelisk, and in Grupheetie text.

The first characters to read it were Golf Ball and Tennis Ball in "Welcome Back". The alphabet was officially named in the Battle for Dream Island: Official Character Guide, where a page states, "Golf Ball is capable of deciphering the ancient lettering known as Yoylese."

However, skyscrapers and buildings constructed before Yoyle City's abandonment display Latin writing on their signs, suggesting that the Yoylese alphabet either fell out of use before Yoyleland’s decline or was used interchangeably with Latin.

The alphabet first appeared in IDFB inside the Science Museum, where it was displayed on a sign naming the museum, as well as on labels for various artifacts. It was also seen above the floor number sign and on the Wall Teleporter instructions. The Obelisk also features Yoylese inscriptions spelling "Tennis Ball," and Grupheetie is written in Yoylese in BFB.

Grupheetie BFB

Below is a list of all the characters in the Yoylese alphabet. The script has been deciphered based on the Yoylese labels seen in the Science Museum and their corresponding objects. It's important to note that the letters J, Q, X, and Z have not appeared in the show.

Additionally, it was discovered that the BFB Grupheetie text was written in Yoylese, which read "⧖andalism." This revealed that the symbol ⧖ represents the letter V. The remaining four missing letters were later revealed in the IDFB 1 FLA files.
