A Yale Public School bond election was on the August 5, 2008 ballot in the Yale school district, located in St. Clair County in Michigan, where it was defeated.
The election was scheduled by a vote of the district's school board.
The ballot question facing voters was whether to approve new district indebtedness of $11.085 million for the purposes of "Partially remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, equipping and re-equipping existing school facilities; acquiring and installing educational technology; purchasing school buses; constructing and equipping improvements to playfields, playgrounds and outdoor athletic facilities; and developing and improving sites."

The August bond election was scheduled to occur after district voters rejected a request for $19.265 million in a bond election on May 6, 2008. 922 voters were in favor of that bond proposal, while 1,038 voters were opposed.
In turn, the May election was scheduled after district voters rejected two ballot propositions from the school district in November 2007. Proposal 1 in November was defeated by just two votes (895 in favor, 897 opposed), while Proposal 2 was defeated by a margin of 686 votes in favor to 1,103 votes opposed.
