This measure sought to renew the current pool levy which is set at a rate of $.05 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five year in order to continue to pay for recreation facility maintenance costs as well as renovate the municipal pool and pay for general improvements to recreation sites in the city.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Willowick City for the purpose of improving the municipal recreational facilities by renovating and rehabilitating swimming pools and parking lots and otherwise improving those facilities at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 5 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]
