William Roger Romine (b. January 27, 1944) is a former Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 6 from 2000 to 2018.

Romine did not seek re-election to the West Virginia House of Delegates in 2018.

Biography

Romine earned his B.S. from Salem College. He received his M.A. from West Virginia University. He previously worked as a principal, educator, classroom teacher, and central office administration.[1]

Elections for the West Virginia House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 13, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 25, 2014. Karl Paul was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent William Romine was unopposed in the Republican primary. Romine defeated Paul in the general election.[6]

Romine won re-election in the 2012 election for West Virginia House of Delegates, District 6. Romine ran unopposed in the May 8 primary election and defeated Charlie Delauder (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[7][8][9]

Romine was re-elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates District 6. He was one of two candidates running for the District 6 Delegate position on the ballot in the November 2, 2010, general election. He defeated Democrat Charlie Delauder.[10][11]
