W. Patrick Falvey is a judge of the Yates County Court in New York.

Falvey was appointed, then elected, to this position in 1988. He was re-elected in 1998 and 2008. He has also served as an Acting Justice of the Yates County Supreme Court since 1998 and as the Presiding Justice of the Yates County Criminal, Juvenile and Family Drug Treatment Courts since 2002.[1]
Biography and Education
Falvey received his B.A. degree from Hobart College in 1968 and his J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1975. He also attended the National Judicial College at the University of Nevada-Reno in 1994.
Prior to attending law school, Falvey served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971 as a First Lieutenant (including service in Vietnam).[1]
Career
Falvey began his career in 1976 as a general practice lawyer, a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Lyman Smith and as an attorney for the Yates County Department of Social Services. He left the latter two positions in 1977, but continued to work as a lawyer until 1988, specializing in real estate, business, criminal, and civil litigation. From 1977 to 1980, he also served as an Assistant Public Defender for Yates County. In 1981, he became a Yates County District Attorney. He then joined the Yates County Court in 1988. Ten years later, in 1998, he was appointed an Acting Supreme Court Justice. In 2002, he became the Presiding Justice of the Yates County Criminal, Juvenile and Family Drug Treatment Courts.[1]
