Tony Monetti (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Missouri. He lost in the Republican primary on August 7, 2018.
Biography
Monetti graduated from the Aviation Career and Technical High School in Queens, New York. He also graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He served in the U.S. Air Force, flying combat missions in Iraq. His professional experience includes working as the director of aviation for the University of Central Missouri, owning the restaurant Monetti's, and co-authoring Called to Serve and Honored to Serve. He started the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization in Johnson County, Missouri.
