|I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio the Brentnell area. I have two adult children and I am raising my four grandchildren. The opportunity to serve community came from my high school experience at St. Francis DeSales. It is in my desire to serve and advocate for communities. I have volunteered my time for over a decade with the North Central Area Commission as well as served on several committees and commission including the most recent the Community Safety Advisory Commission. I have worked with neighboring communities regarding resources needed to make our communities appealing for new residents and how to sustain current ones. I have gone into other areas aiding with their neighborhood concerns. I want to make sure that our next generation has not only the opportunities that were afforded to me, but that they make a living wage to remain in the city they grew up in. I am an advocate for all neighborhoods. I have been intentional in trying to meet and learn about the new Americans coming to our city as well as the challenges they face. The work I do on the Commission is only an aspect of the things I have addressed such as access to quality education, attempting to eliminate barriers to employment, healthcare. Access to basic needs (prescriptions, grocery stores, banks).
- The key to vibrant communities is the stability of safe, sustainable, and affordable housing.
- Public Safety and ensuring we have a diverse, culturally competent first responders' who not only serve but actively build trust among its citizens.
- People Driven Government. Decisions made for the most residents and transparent with the impact of my vote.

The qualities this office posses that makes it unique and important part of state government is that the decisions that we make today impact the next generation and that diligence and care should be taken to ensure our success and prosperity.
I look up to Shirley Chisholm.
The core responsibilities for someone elected to office is making sure that the decisions you make are going to bring the most benefit to your residents.
The legacy I would like to leave is being courageous and advocating for equity for all.
I was on television trying out slime for the first time at Lazarus. I was probably 6 years old.
My very first job was at Walkers in Northland Mall. I worked there for two years.
I Know Why a Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou. As an African American female, it a story of overcoming adverse circumstances and conditions that are not in control but the society one lives in. Whether intentional or not there are certain stigmas that we must overcome and doing so with dignity provides one to aspire to reach for success.
I believe that holders of this office should have touched several departments within the city either through direct employment or participating on committees. I also believe that they need to be in touch with the area of concerns in different parts of the city by participating in meetings or talking to the residents in the area.
I have been a part of an Area Commission for over a decade dealing with zoning and development. I have also participated and served on several committees for city departments. I have collaborated with neighboring communities and assisted and provided feedback to other civic areas with development concerns.
