Thomas E. Hollenhorst was an associate justice on the Fourth District, Division Two of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by Governor George Deukmejian and took the oath of office on August 26, 1988.[1] He ran for retention in 2014, winning a new term.[2][3] He retired from the bench on August 1, 2017.[4]

Education

Hollenhorst received his bachelor's degree from San Jose State in 1968 and his J.D. from Hastings School of Law in 1971. He later attended the University of Virginia and received his L.L.M. in 1995.[5]

Career

Hollenhorst served as acting district attorney, assistant district attorney and deputy district attorney for Riverside County between 1972 and 1981. He was appointed to the Riverside Municipal Court and served on that court until his appointment to the Superior Court of Riverside County in 1981.[5]
