Telfair County is located within the Oconee Judicial Circuit of the Superior Court Eighth District.

In addition to the Superior Court the people of Telfair County are served by a Probate Court, a Juvenile Court, a Magistrate Court and three Municipal Courts.

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia has jurisdiction in Telfair County. Appeals from the Southern District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
