My name is Steven Linne and I am running on the Republican ticket for Florida House district 6. I served six years in the Navy in the submarine service and when I was on my way off of active duty I decided I wanted to head back home. So with my wife Kyo and son Sam in tow we made for Panama City. Then we had a new family member enter this world, Gabriella. I have grown to love this community and so we have decided to call it home. Over the years I have seen the political climate in this country shift and many people in office who swore to uphold the constitution are blatantly disregarding it. I am tired of complaining about being taken advantage of by our elected officials and have decided to do something about it. I am running for office to clean up Tallahassee. Someone needs to hold those who swore the oath of office accountable! We will together. Let us send the good 'ole boys a message. We will not stand for our rights being stripped away any longer. Send me to Tallahassee to bring the constitution back and hold these so called "representatives" feet to the fire. I look forward to serving you and protecting our god given rights as written in the constitution.

Education Reform

Encourage trade school, teach basic life skills, and bring gun safety classes back to high school.

Prison Reform

Prisons need to rehabilitate and not make people worse. Over 20% of inmates in prison are criminal aliens. This is a huge tax burden on the taxpayers in Florida, they must be transferred to ICE and deported. We need to make sure felons can obtain work after finishing their sentence. We should encourage them to pursue a trade education or college education.

2nd Amendment Preservation

Strike down the Unconstitutional Red Flag Law and any other unconstitutional form of gun regulation. Expand gun rights and ownership. Establish constitutional carry and protect Florida from federal gun laws.

Transparency and Exposing Corruption

I believe in an open door policy. You should be able to contact your representative whenever and they should keep the public advised on what they are doing. Too many politicians get into office and then disappear from public eye. No more for profit politics. When our representatives vote, they need to do so in a way which represents the sentiment of the people who elected him, not for their pocket books.

Eliminate Unconstitutional laws and regulations

All current and future laws will heavily scrutinized. Are they constitutional and do they have evidence to support their necessity? If not, they need to be struck from the books.

I look up to the founding fathers, more specifically James Madison and Thomas Jefferson. I hope to be able to protect the state of Florida and bring it in line with the US Constitution.

I believe to be an elected official you must be able to take constant criticism and make yourself better. You are here to represent the people and not only make the state better for the people of Florida but ensure that we are moving in a direction which will set our children up for success.

I am an oathkeeper and a born leader. I take my oath to protect and uphold the constitution, which I made when I joined the military, very seriously. I truly believe in the principals of true conservatism and only want what is best for the state of Florida.

Preservation of our Constitutional rights, Lowering tax burden by reducing the size of government , repealing unconstitutional legislation, ensuring our education system is preparing our children to go out on their own at 18, and make sure the future generations are inheriting a state that we be proud of.

Not so much a legacy but, I hope that my candidacy inspires other patriots to run throughout the state so that we can take our state back from the political establishment that runs it.

I worked as an Unloader for UPS for around 6 to 8 months.

Too many. I would say I really enjoyed Tucker Carlson's recent book Ship of Fools.

Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones

I was accused of a crime I did not commit and stood trial where I was found innocent by a jury of my peers. Not only did this experience gravely hurt me financially and almost tear my family apart, but it made me aware of the for-profit judicial system we have in this country. I pray no one else has to deal with what I did those years ago.

The State senate is very powerful and has more legislative freedom than the lower chamber. But, I am a big fan of single issue bills and like the pace of the house.

Not necessary, I believe anyone with a sound mind and understanding of their oath to protect and uphold the constitution will be better than most in office today.

Reforming the education system, eliminating unconstitutional legislation (including but not limited to gun laws), and reducing our reliance on federal money.

Population is a good way to determine districts.

Rules, Judiciary, Appropriations, Veterans Affairs, and the Education Committee.

Most stories I hear are private or ones which I could not complete in 2000 characters. However, I have had much encouragement from many people who are tired of the political establishment and want to see new faces with fresh ideas in office. Most importantly they want someone who will fight to protect their rights.
