The South Dakota Prohibit Corporate Farming Amendment, also known as Amendment E, was on the November 3, 1998 ballot in South Dakota as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure created constitutional prohibitions against the ownership and operation of farmland or livestock production by corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability companies and other business entities.
