Samuel Hitchcock (1755-1813) was a federal judge on the United States Circuit Court for the Second Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Vermont.

Judicial career
Second Circuit
Hitchcock was nominated to the Second Circuit by President John Adams on February 18, 1801. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 20, 1801, and received commission that same day. He served until the court was abolished on July 1, 1802.
District of Vermont
Hitchcock was nominated to the District of Vermont by President George Washington on December 27, 1793. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 30, 1793, and received commission on January 28, 1794.[1] He served on this court until February 20, 1801. Hitchcock was succeeded in this position by Elijah Paine.
