Sam Zurier (Democratic Party) is a member of the Rhode Island State Senate, representing District 3. He assumed office on November 16, 2021. His current term ends on January 7, 2025.
Zurier (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Rhode Island State Senate to represent District 3. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Zurier was a member of the Providence City Council from 2011 to 2018.[1]
Biography
Sam Zurier graduated from Classical High School in 1976. Zurier earned a B.A. in mathematics from Yale University in 1980, an M.A. in politics and economics from Oxford University in 1984, and a J.D. from Yale University in 1986. His career experience includes working as an attorney, an assistant Massachusetts attorney general, and a law clerk with then-First Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Stephen Breyer.[2][3]
