Robert T. Benton II was a judge on the First District Court of Appeal. He was appointed to the court by Governor Lawton Chiles in 1994 and was most recently retained by voters in 2014.[1][2][3] 

On October 20, 2015, Benton announced he was leaving the court. He retired in January 2016.[4][5][6]

Education

Benton earned his B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University in 1967. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida in 1970 and his LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1971.[1]
