Ester’s campaign website stated the following:

“	I believe much of the division and animosity towards others in this country has been created by the income tax levied against working Americans. According to the latest statistics, the U.S. population is 341,814,420 people, and of that number, the most recent data shows there were approximately 161,270,000 million employed persons in the United States. To put it bluntly, it is unconscionable that less than half of the country's population is shouldering the responsibility of funding government spending. A fair and equitable tax code is needed to help heal the divide. Fix the funding - Fix the country. Unfortunately, we can't completely eliminate federal income taxes but we can lower them by adopting a federal sales tax. A federal sales tax would recoup the money lost from a cut in income taxes because everyone who spends money in the U.S. would be paying the sales tax. Think about that for just a moment and let it sink in. Everyone who spends money will pay the sales tax. Even international travelers. In 2023, foreign tourists spent over $192.7 billion in our country. A 7% federal sales tax would have given the government almost $13.5 billion dollars. That's just one example of the funds that can be generated through a federal sales tax. And it should be the only example you need to vote for me. I'll have foreigners helping to fund our government.	”
