Richard Dennis Aldrich was an associate justice of the Second District, Division Three of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by former Governor Pete Wilson, taking his oath of office on August 29, 1994. He was retained by voters in 2006.[1] He retired on June 30, 2017.[2]

Education

Aldrich earned his bachelor's degree from Loyola University of Los Angeles and received his J.D. from UCLA in 1963.[3]

Career

Aldrich operated his own law firm for 28 years before his appointment to the Ventura County Superior Court in 1991 by Governor George Deukmejian. He served as a superior court judge until his appointment to the California Second District Court of Appeal in 1994.[4] He retired from the Second District Court on June 30, 2017.[2]
