Paul C. Huck is an Article III federal judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He joined the court in 2000 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton. Huck assumed senior status on August 31, 2010.

Early life and education

Born in Covington, Kentucky, Huck graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in 1962 and later received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1965.[1]

Professional career

Huck served in the United States Army Reserve from 1965 to 1972 and was a private practice attorney in the State of Florida from 1965 to 2000.[1]

Judicial career

Southern District of Florida

On the recommendation of U.S. Senator Bob Graham, Huck was nominated to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida by President Bill Clinton on May 9, 2000 to a seat vacated by Kenneth Ryskamp. Huck was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on June 30, 2000 and received commission on July 11, 2000.[2] Huck was succeeded in this position by Robert N. Scola, Jr..
