Mike Kimbrel is the superintendent of the Park Hill School District. Kimbrel was appointed superintendent in July 2022. Kimbrel's previous career experience includes working in the district as an assistant superintendent, a director, and an executive director. Prior to his tenure at Park Hill, he worked as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in the Millard Public School District and the Liberty Public School District.[1]
Past superintendents
- Jeanette Cowherd was the superintendent of the Park Hill School District from December 2015 until June 2022. Cowherd's previous career experience includes working as the district's assistant superintendent for school improvement and as an instrumental music teacher with the Shawnee Mission School District in Kansas.[2]
- Scott Springston was the superintendent of the Park Hill School District from 2012 to 2015. Springston's previous career experience included working as the superintendent of the Valley Center USD 262 in Kansas.[3][4]

Public participation in board meetings
The Park Hill School District Board of Directors maintains the following policy on public testimony during board meetings:[6]

According to Board Policy BDDH, the Board will designate a time for public comments at regular meetings of the Board of Education. Individuals wishing to provide public comment to the Board must pre-register no later than noon on the day of the meeting using this sign-up form. Registration will open 48 hours prior to the registration deadline (for a Thursday meeting, registration will open at noon on Tuesday). There will be a maximum of 7 speakers, and each speaker will have a 3-minute time limit. No individual will be permitted to speak more than once during this period. Please direct your comments to the entire Board. Generally, Board members will not provide any response during public comment; however, if needed, Board members or district staff may provide a response at a later time. Discussion about individual staff members or students is not allowed.[7] |
