This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $2.49 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of two years in order to continue to pay for general maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| The Board of Directors of Orondo School District No. 13 adopted Resolution No. 11-3 concerning a proposition to finance District maintenance and operation expenses. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, upon all taxable property within the District to support the District’s General Fund maintenance and operation expenses: Collection Year Estimated Levy Rate Per $1,000 Assessed value; Total Levy Amount 2013 $2.40 $773,900; 2014 $2.49, $801,270 all as provided in Resolution No. 11-3. Should this proposition be approved?[3] |
