The Oakfield School District Referendum was a school bond measure on the April 7 in the Oakfield School District which is in Fond du Lac County. The referendum was brought to the ballot by the school board, and it sought to exceed state-set revenue limits by $700,000 per year for four years, totaling $2,800,000 overall. When the April measure was defeated, the school board brought the measure to the ballot again for the November 3 vote, this time asking for $2,500,000 over four years, and the measure was approved. The additional funds would be used to maintain current levels of operations. The funds will be spread out for the four years:

The Oakfield School District last asked the voters to approve exceeding spending limits in 2006.[1]
Status
The November measure was approved. The vote:
Yes - 508- No - 368[2]
The April measure was defeated, with 344 "no" votes and 308 "yes" votes.[3][4]
Wording of referendum
Be it resolved by the School Board of the School District of Oakfield, Fond du Lac and Dodge Counties, Wisconsin, that the school district budget for each of the 2010-11 through 2013-14 school years shall include, on a non-recurring basis, an amount of $700,000 in excess of the revenue limits imposed by Section 121.91(2m) of the Wisconsin Statutes for the purpose of paying school district operation and maintenance expenses[5]
