This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $4.2 million in order to help pay for school remodeling, renovations, upgrading technology and other modernizations to classrooms as needed.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| The Board of Directors of Oakesdale School District #324 adopted Resolution # 02-1011 concerning a proposition to finance school renovation. This proposition would authorize the District to renovate Oakesdale School (including constructing new additions; reconstructing kitchen/cafeteria, classrooms and girls and boys locker room; making ADA accessibility improvements; removing asbestos; upgrading HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems; and improving energy efficiency, indoor air quality, safety and technology systems); issue no more than $4,200,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 25 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution # 02-1011.[3] |
