New Mexico Question C (1998)

New Mexico Question C, also known as the Acquisition of unique and ecologically significant lands bond, was on the November 3, 1998 election ballot in New Mexico. It was defeated, with 48% of voters in favor.

The language that appeared on the ballot:

Would authorize the issuance and sale of land acquisition bonds in an amount not to exceed $620,000 to make capitol expenditures for acquisition of unique and ecologically significant lands affording habitat for rare, threatened or endangered species.
