|I grew up in Dist. 2 in Marin California, raised by a single mom, I build a multi-million dollar business from scratch over 20 years. I have 4 children, ages 10.14.15 and 19.
During my divorce, my ex-husband took my employees to a competitor company and forced my company to go out of business.
While in the process of my divorce, I decided to get active in local government and also did lots of volunteering. I became aware of many social and economic injustices and decided I needed to use my skills and abilities to make this world a better place for our children.
I feel I will be best able to advocate for the average person in our district if I am elected to congress. I can relate to people on all socio-economic levels because I have been in so many of these myself. Poor, then wealthy, and now poor again.

I am passionate about all of it. Every issue relates to the other issue as a whole and matters.
First I do believe we should take steps to repeal the case of citizens, United v. Federal Election Commission, and if it's not overturned, then we should educate people about the dangers of voting for candidates that take corporate donations, I am not taking any corporate donations, that is not the case of my competition.
More importantly, we must vote for leaders that will aggressively sponsor and support legislation that will dramatically provide protection for our environment. Leaders that are not afraid to find solutions that can be agreed upon should we find ourselves again with a majority in the senate. I believe a succession of bite-sized bills is the way to go. With partisanship in congress, and possibly again with our executive, we must understand that sweeping legislation would be unrealistic. I hope we have an amazing outcome after the November elections that puts us in a position to pass all-encompassing environmental protection laws but if we are not so. fortunate we need to be prepared with congress. people such as myself, that can work with what we have to convince the opposition that some changes are necessary for the preservation of our society.
As a Man Thinkith by James Allen. This is my favorite book because over the years it has helped me to remember that challenges can be overcome. That the way we perceive things has more to do with our happiness than the way things are.
