2016
The city of Tampa, Florida, held a special election for District 7 of the city council on November 8, 2016. A runoff took place on December 6, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was September 9, 2016.[1] The election was scheduled to fill the seat of Councilwoman Lisa J. Montelione, who resigned in order to run for the Florida House of Representatives.[2] Luis Viera defeated Jim Davison in the Tampa City Council District 7 runoff election.[3]
