Kathleen Dumais (Democratic Party) was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 15. She assumed office in 2003. She left office on November 5, 2021.

Dumais (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Maryland House of Delegates to represent District 15. She won in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Dumais served as state House majority leader in 2019.[1]

Dumais resigned on November 5, 2021, after Gov. Larry Hogan appointed her to the Montgomery County Circuit Court.[2]

Biography

Dumais' professional experience includes working as an attorney/principal with Paley, Rothman, Goldstein, Rosenberg & Cooper, and as an attorney with Quinn, McAuliffe and Dumais. She also worked as assistant to the dean at the University of Maryland and as a teacher/administrative assistant in Montgomery County Public Schools.[1]

Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Incumbents Kathleen Dumais, David Fraser-Hidalgo and Aruna Miller defeated Bennett Rushkoff in the Democratic primary, while Ed Edmundson, Flynn Ficker and Christine Thron were unopposed in the Republican primary. Dumais, Fraser-Hidalgo and Miller defeated Edmundson, Ficker and Thron in the general election.[3][4][5]
