Jonathan Sutin was a judge on the New Mexico Court of Appeals. He was appointed by Governor Gary Johnson and joined the court in 1999.[1] He was retained by voters in 2008 and again in 2016.[2]
Sutin retired at the end of 2017[3] His term would have ended on December 31, 2024.
Education
Sutin grew up in New Mexico. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve for eight years. He then received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Colorado and his law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law.[1]
Career
Prior to his appointment to the bench, Sutin worked in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice and as an attorney in private practice.[1]
