John Francis Gerry (1925-1995) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Gerry was nominated by President Gerald Ford on November 18, 1974, to a seat vacated by James Coolahan; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 18, 1974, and received commission two days later. He served as chief judge from 1987-1994. He assumed senior status on October 1, 1994, and served until his death on March 10, 1995.[1]Gerry was succeeded in this position by Joseph Greenaway.
