John C. Martin was a chief judge for the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He served on this court from 1993 until 2014. Martin previously served a term on the court from 1985 to 1988. He became the chief judge in 2004. His term would have ended in 2016, but he retired from the bench on August 1, 2014.[1][2]

Education

Martin received his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in 1965 and his J.D. degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1967.[1]
