Jerome C. Gorski was a judge on the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Department. Governor Pataki appointed him to this position on August 14, 2001. He retired from the Appellate Division effective January 31, 2012.[1]
Education
Judge Gorski earned his law degree from Georgetown University in 1962.[1]
Career
Judge Gorski began his legal career in 1962 as a private practice lawyer in Buffalo, working on negligence, products liability litigation, and labor relations cases. He remained in the private practice for 25 years. From 1973 to 1980, he also worked as a law clerk for James Kane of the Erie County and State Supreme Courts and for John J. Sirica of the U.S. District Court. In 1989, he joined the New York Supreme Court 8th Judicial District. He was re-elected to the Supreme Court in 2002 and served on the Appellate Division until his retirement in January 2012.[1][2][3]
