Biography

Jenn Douglass was born in Pennsylvania. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996 and a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1999. Her career experience includes working as an attorney and small business owner.[1]

I am an attorney, mom and advocate with over 20 years of legal experience in numerous areas of law including business litigation and real estate transactions and have had my own firm since 2011. I have had type 1 diabetes for 29 years and am a cancer survivor and am a volunteer advocate for affordable and accessible care and prescriptions. I have helped write and pass legislation in Illinois and have testified in Springfield multiple times. I became a Community Health Worker through the Illinois Pandemic Health Navigator program in 2021. I am a leader with Illinois #insulin4all which advocates for affordable insulin, and work with JDRF, the American Diabetes Association and the Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalition to help all people with diabetes across the country. I am a member of the Triage Cancer Legal Advisory Council, Elmhurst 100+ Women Who Care, the DuPage County Branch of the NAACP and am a member of Health Committee and have just been appointed as the Branch Housing Chair. I volunteer with DuPage County Animal Services and have provided hundreds of hours of pro bono legal assistance over the years. I live in Elmhurst with my family.

I am passionate about healthcare/prescription affordability and accessibility, strong public education, housing and public safety.
