|Jarett is a dedicated public servant committed to improving Long Island. He graduated from West Islip High School before receiving a degree in Criminal Justice from SUNY Albany. He then went on to receive a Master of Public Administration degree (M.P.A) as well as a certificate in City Management from Villanova University.
For over 7 years before he decided to run for Assembly, Jarett devoted himself to serving our communities alongside New York State Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino as his Chief of Staff. During this time, Jarett resolved thousands of constituent cases, helped secure grants for local municipalities and nonprofits, and worked with local organizations to support their missions wherever possible. He has always done his part to support initiatives which benefit our communities, while also aiding in the fight against many of the harmful policies passed down from Albany. Jarett is eager to hit the ground running and continue serving the great people of the 7th Assembly District.
Dedicated to public service, Jarett also serves on the Board of Directors of the Islip Community Development Agency. As a Director, he guides the agency as it works to improve communities throughout the Town of Islip. Jarett is very proud of the work the agency does - they help families buy their first homes, clean up blight in our neighborhoods, and provide financial assistance to local nonprofit organizations.
- Jarett support law enforcement, and will oppose any effort to "defund" our police.
- Jarett will work to preserve our environment and protect the Great South Bay for future generations.
- Jarett will work to improve New York's business climate, which has consistently ranked near the bottom.

I started helping out in my grandfather's window treatment shop at a young age. At first, I just hung around to spend time with him, but I started doing odd little jobs and cleaning up.
I do think it is very helpful. Still, we shouldn't discount non-governmental/political experience either. It's always a plus to have a diverse range of perspectives when considering legislation.
Absolutely. I always try to separate the the person from their politics - it's important to remember that we are all people at the end of the day. We can debate when we disagree, but also work together when we share goals.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
