The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Incumbent Vincent Gregory defeated Vicki Barnett and Ellen Lipton in the Democratic primary. Boris Tuman was unopposed in the Republican primary. Gregory defeated Tuman in the general election.[4][5][6][7]
