Jacqueline Collins (Democratic Party) (also known as Jacqui) was a member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 16. She assumed office in 2003. She left office on January 11, 2023.
Collins (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 1st Congressional District. She lost in the Democratic primary on June 28, 2022.
Collins served as State Senator for Illinois State Senate District 16 from 2003-2023.
Biography
Jacqueline Collins earned her B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University and her two M.S. in theological studies and human services administration from Harvard University. Her professional experience includes working as a Policy Fellow for then-Senator Hillary Clinton, Communications Director for Rainbow PUSH Chairman Rev. Jesse Jackson, Engineer for WBBM-AM, TV News Editor for WBBM-TV 2 and an Emmy award-nominated news editor for CBS-TV in Chicago.[1]
