Kentucky Energy and Environmental Secretary Rebecca Goodman appointed Slone as the Kentucky Commissioner of Natural Resources in 2020.[1]

Biography

Gordon Slone served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1979 to 2007 and reached the rank of lieutenant colonel. Slone earned a bachelor's degree in mining engineering and a J.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1985 and 1991, respectively. His career experience includes working as an attorney with the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the executive director of the Kentucky Office of Occupations and Professions.[1]
