George Gluck (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Maryland's 6th Congressional District. He lost in the Democratic primary on May 14, 2024.
Biography
George Gluck was born in Czechoslovakia and lives in Rockville, Maryland. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Brooklyn College in 1967, a master's degree in applied mathematics from John Hopkins University in 1969, and a master's degree in administrative science computer management from George Washington University in 1981. Gluck’s career experience includes working as a mathematician and software engineer. He served as the social action chair of Kol Shalom Congregation in Rockville and as an election judge in Montgomery County.[1]

In Maryland's 6th Congressional District, incumbent John Delaney (D) defeated Amie Hoeber (R), David Howser, George Gluck (G), and Ted Athey (Write-in) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Delaney defeated Tony Puca in the Democratic primary, while Hoeber defeated seven other Republican challengers to win the Republican nomination. The primary elections took place on April 26, 2016.
