A Fraser Township Road Levy Increase proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Bay County, which is in Michigan.

This proposal authorized the Township of Fraser to increase the property tax by 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for four years in order to fund public road services. The estimated first year revenue from this tax is $90,000.[1]

Text of measure

Language on the ballot:

Shall the 15 mill tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within Fraser Township imposed under Article IX, Section 6, of the Michigan Constitution be increased for Fraser Township by 1.0 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of four years, December 1, 2012 through December 1, 2015 inclusive, for the purpose of construction, maintenance and improvement of local public roads in Fraser Township; and shall the Township levy an increase in millage for said purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $90,000.
