Edward "David" Redwine was a 2010 Democratic candidate for District 8 of the North Carolina State Senate. The primary election was on May 4, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.

Elections
2010
Redwine was defeated in the November 2 general election by challenger William Rabon (R).[1]
Prior to the election, Rabon trailed in polling released by the John W. Pope Civitas Institute. The poll showed Rabon with a 19 point lead over Redwine.[2] Both Rabon and Redwine acknowledge the need for cutting government spending to balance what's expected to be a $3 billion deficit next fiscal year.[3]
