Dale Mensing (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent California's 2nd Congressional District. He lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Mensing unsuccessfully ran for the same seat in 2014 and 2016.[1][2]
Biography
Dale Mensing graduated from Bob Jones Academy in 1976. He later attended Bob Jones University for two years. From 1979 to 1983, he served in the Navy as a neuro-psychiatric technician in the Navy's Hospital Corp. Mensing then became a medical courier.[3]
Mensing worked for 14 years at a supermarket called Shop Smart Food Warehouse. He then worked for the postal service for six years and became the postmaster of Laytonvile, California. In 2008, he returned to the same supermarket to work as a cashier.[3]

Mensing ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent California's 2nd District. Mensing and incumbent Jared Huffman advanced past the blanket primary on June 3, 2014, defeating Andy Caffrey (D). Mensing was then defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014.[6][7]
