Chris Christie was a Republican candidate for the office of president of the United States in 2016. Christie is the current governor of New Jersey. He was first elected in 2009. Prior to his gubernatorial bid, Christie served as the U.S. attorney for New Jersey from 2002 to 2008.

On June 30, 2015, Chris Christie announced his 2016 presidential campaign.[1][2] He suspended his presidential run on February 10, 2016.[3]
