Pendleton was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 5th Congressional District of Maryland. Pendleton was defeated by incumbent Steny Hoyer in the Democratic primary on April 3, 2012.[2]

Pendleton ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Maryland's 5th District. Pendleton sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket but was defeated by incumbent Steny Hoyer in the primary on April 3, 2012.[4]
