Carol S. Egly is an associate judge of District 5C of Iowa. She was appointed to this position in 1986. Her current term expires in 2018.

Education

Egly graduated from St. Olaf College in 1971 with a bachelor's degree and then received her law degree from Drake University in 1974.

Career

Egly began her career in 1974 as an Iowa assistant attorney general. She worked in this position until 1977. She then worked as a private practice lawyer, a part-time magistrate and part-time hearing officer before her judicial appointment in 1986.

2012 election

Egly was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 77.44 percent of the vote.
