Campaign themes
2014
Montgomery's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[2]
Healthcare
- Excerpt: "More Mental Health treatment programs are needed to recognize, reduce and prevent these individual tragedies. "
- Excerpt: "I will be the first to admit though there are parts of the Affordable Care Act that have been successful and have benefited many in Wyoming, there are definitely parts of it that I feel should be revisited/adjusted."
Education
- Excerpt: "I want to invest in our most valuable resource, the children of Wyoming. I am a strongly for providing the education and skills necessary to prepare our youth for their future, not only in the Wyoming work force, but in the global market. We need to be able to guarantee their success. We, as a state, should demand high standards when it comes to our children's education"
Energy
- Excerpt: "As in my previous campaigns, I will continue to encourage coal research and I feel we should invest into the energy mega campus. I would endorse a Coal research laboratory and promote the improvement of the infrastructure within our state. There is no better place to have this research done than right here in Campbell County. We need to be more proactive to be prepared for any future regulations of coal use."
