Appointments

2012

Russell was appointed to the Wyoming Public Service Commission by Gov. Matt Mead in October 2012.[1] The state Senate initially rejected the nomination on February 26, 2013, but reconsidered, approving of Russell the next day. Sen. Cale Case (R) had called for the chamber to reject Russell, as well as Kara Brighton Fornstrom, on the grounds that they are both attorneys and only attorneys have been named to the commission since 2005.[3]
